Guardian Angel - Safe Walk app for iPhone and iPad

Walking along the streets of a city, a college campus, or even your own hometown can feel unsafe.

Guardian Angel makes sure that youre safe at checkpoints along your way and lets your friends and family know when youre unresponsive or feel endangered.

Simply tell Guardian Angel who from your Address Book youd like to make an emergency contact and where youd like to walk to -- then let Guardian Angel do the rest of the work for you while your attention-attracting iPhone stays safely tucked away in your pocket.


****** How does it work? *****

Guardian Angel puts GPS safety checkpoints along the fastest walking route to your destination. These checkpoints are designed to never be more ten minutes apart in order to make sure your friends and family are alerted as soon as possible. Whenever you miss a checkpoint Guardian Angel checks in on you via Push Notification.

If you are unsafe when the Push Notification arrives, simply remain unresponsive. Ninety seconds later your contacts will be alerted with an SMS containing your current location, the time, and your route details.

If you are safe when the Push Notification arrives simply swipe open the Push Notification and tap Yes Im Safe. Guardian Angel will give you another two minutes to reach your checkpoint.

Guardian Angel will also notify your contacts at the start and end of your walk so that your friends and family can feel like theyre right by your side the whole time!

As a safety precaution, Guardian Angel also allows you to manually override the system at anytime and immediately Send SMS or Call 911 during your walk. Two buttons presses are required in order to do this to help prevent accidental calls and texts being sent your friends and family.


**** So What Do I Have To Do ****

1. Choose a few emergency contacts the first time you use the app.
2. Enter your destination
3. Select begin,
4. Be ready to answer any Check-In Notifications in case you miss a checkpoint.

Think about it -- most SMS-based apps only check in on you once at the end of a set time period and that can be very dangerous. If your walk is thirty minutes long and you get into trouble a block from your door, other check-in apps wont notify your friends and family for another thirty minutes! Guardian Angel not only insures that your friends and family are always notified within 2-12 minutes of the time of distress, but that they also have the necessary information needed in order to help you.
